SUPERMAN RETURNS!!!!

Woohoo!!!

I went to go watch Superman Returns yesterday at 9:40AM. Yes!!! That early. I couldn't make it to the 10:00PM showing that they had on Tuesday. So I settled for the next best thing.

Anyways, Superman Returns is an awesome movie. If by this time, you don't know about it (where have you been), the story continues where the first two Superman movies from the 1970's left off. The movie revolves around the return of Superman after disappearing for five years. Superman goes in search of the remnants of Krypton and then returns to find that life has moved on without him.

Highlight below to read spoilers. Don't highlight if you are going to watch the movie.

Superman now finds that Lois has found another man, has had a son and seems content. Lex Luthor once again is trying his best to create an empire for himself so he can rule the world. Kevin Spacey does a wonderful job playing Lex, reprising the role that Gene Hackman started in the original Superman movies. I'm pretty much going to leave it there. You will simply have to watch the movie.

Sheiryll's Pinning!!!!

Got around to processing some pictures.

It's a bit late, but one of my closest friends graduated from college last week on the 16th with a degree in nursing. She will be a Registered Nurse.

I just want to congratulate her again and all of the 2006 graduates.

Pinning for a nursing graduate is a huge deal, sometimes more important than the graduation ceremony. Receiving your pin denotes acceptance into the nursing profession.

And lookie... she got lei'd....
She's currently in Las Vegas....celebrating...that's it...celebrating...

SUPERFLOORS!!!

OK!!!

I feel dumb.

I made an appointment with Superfloors for a preconsult preview of the types of flooring and countertops that I could get. I setup the appointment for 6pm. I show up at 5:40 to Superfloors in Kent. Doors locked but people are coming out. I say "Hi, I've got a 6 o'clock appointment." They just give me this confused look.

Well apparently I went to the WRONG Superfloors!!! I had to go the Superfloors in Kirkland. If any one knows, traffic around 6pm on the I-405 NB is horrible. I drove rather hastily and made it to the Kirkland Superfloors by 6:35 and they close at 7pm. Needless to say, I got a small preview and it was sooo cool!!!

I now estimate I will spend $20,000+ on granite countertops for the kitchen, wood flooring for the main floor, and then granite tiles for the masterbath and hall bathroom. Sorry, no photos!!! Not allowed.

Cheers!!!

My House Upgrade Session

OK!! Well I am done with my upgrades session with the coordinator.

As I said, my max budget was to only do $10,000 worth of upgrades and during my planning phase I bumped up to $12,500 then $13,500. OK. No Biggie. I thought, I did a good job of planning. I have everything that I need. Nope. I was WRONG!!!

I wound up getting $14,490 worth of upgrades. YEAH!!! $10,000 max budget definetely went out the window and that doesn't even include the countertops and flooring that I will have put in.

Some of the major things I decided to get was an air conditioning unit, seperate electronic air filtration system (so my clients won't have a difficult time staying cool and breathing easy when they view their photos.... or worse yet... my commission and pricing guide ;-P ), lots of ceiling recessed lighting (everywhere, including the garage :-o ), and then lots of little things. We can't forget the jetted tub in the master bathroom. Oh YEAH!!! That is going to be SWEET!!!

IT WAS FUN!!!

My Slice of Land

Hey All!!!

I visited my property last week and took some pictures as I promised of my pile of dirt. Construction is not schedule to begin until sometime in July when they drop the wood off. I am currently finalizing the upgrade details. Update on that. I promised myself upgrades would max at $10,000. Now I am up to about $12,500. I anticipate adding at least another $1000 or so in upgrades when I actually sit down with the upgrades coordinator.

Ah well... It's all going to be worth it!!!

P.S. My lot is not as huge as the picture indicates. It only goes halfway in.

Scott and Jeannas Wedding

OK!!! It's been a while since I blogged. I have been a little behind.

Saturday I photographed Scott and Jeannas wedding with my good friend Maurice.
Here is Scott right before he sees Jeanna.

Here is Jeanna anxiously waiting to see Scott for the first time before the ceremony. That's right!!! Before the Ceremony!!!

They are a fun couple. Scott's brother made some awesome cupcakes in leu of a traditional wedding cake. The cupcakes were mouthwatering and delicous. The frosting was just creamy and not too sweet. A great paring.

Scott's mother created all of the flower arrangements, and she's not even a pro florist. Just a hobbyist.

Finally!!! Me at the wedding!!!

Also....
Last Sunday, on the 28th, I had to make the final earnest money payment for the house. It was painful letting go of all that money. It will be worth it. I then found out I had to come up with additional deposits for the upgrades to the house relatively soon. Like within the next 2 weeks. The upgrades I want total nearly $10,000. Almost half of it will be for an air conditioning system. The AC takes up nearly half of the upgrades cost. I have to come up with 20% at the upgrades selection meeting. The good thing is, when my clients meet with me, you will all be nice and cool during those summer meetings with me.
