Photos from my Vermont workshop

I finally got off of my duff and processed some of my photographs that I made in Vermont. These guys were awesome to work with. They are not professional models by any means, so they made it as real world as possible. They were students from the local college there. The gentleman pictured, Dean, was a trooper. He probably didn't get as much camera time as the girls. But you ladies know who the weddings are generally all about anyways.

I hope you enjoy.

I bought something in Vermont!!!

I was driving in Stowe, Vermont and I spotted a camera store that had antique cameras. I had to take the next turn and go right back!!!

I love the look of antique cameras, and granted most now a days don't work. My first antique camera was a Kodak Brownie camera that takes a film spool that no longer is made. So, can't use it.

Well back to the camera store. I went into the store and the first thing you see is a table full of old cameras. I was just blown away. I figured ok, I'll just look but I won't buy anything. WRONG!!!

I look at the price tags and BAM!!!! $9.95 for one and $14.95 for another. No way was I going to not pass thiss on.

These are what I bought!!!

Simple Day Today

OK... so it is day one after Vermont. I was pretty freakin tired!!! But I needed to get out of the house.

My mother calls me to say hey, lets go have lunch with your dad. OK. I tell her I'll meet in in 30 minutes. 10 minutes go by and they say they are already eating. 5 minutes before I get there and they are already leaving. Great!!! No problem. I go to the mall for some shopping and eating anyways. More later.

On my way, I call the mortgage rep who I may not use simply because they want some kind of deposit so that they don't waste time in case I don't use them. That's a load of crap!!! We shall see, I'm going to call the guy again on Tuesday to setup a meeting maybe on Thursday. If they push the "deposit", I definitely won't use them.

I wound up finding a place here in Washington that sells Nathan's Famous Hotdogs. I love em. Delicous. Johnny Rockets sells them in their restaurants. However, they don't cook them as well. No matter, still damn good eats!!!

I went to Best Buy today to buy more harddrives. All of mine are full and I don't want to bog my computer's harddrive. I wound up buying the Seagate 120 GB external drive and the 400 BG external drive. The drives are getting cheaper everytime I buy a new one. I will finally be able to offload the photographs from vermont from my compact flash cards. You'll see those soon.

Lastly, MI3. Awesome movie!!!! Couple of cheesy moments but pretty damn good story with awesome action scenes.

I won't spoil the movie, but Ethon Hunt saves the world again. I know. Shocker!!!

Back to formatting my harddrives. Good night everyone!!!

Live from Vermont - Recap Day 1

Hey All!!! Well, this is a late recap. I wound starting on this post while there, but never concluded it.

First day here in beautiful Stowe, Vermont.

Internet access is available at the Lodge here at Hob Knob.

I flew the redeye out of seattle on Continental into Newark Airport for the connecting flight to Burlington, Vermont. Bonus part of flying here.

I had one regular dog with fries. Unfortunately, It was too damn good, that I wanted another.
I went back and got another. They wound up giving me a jumbo dog for the price of a regular.

Arrived here Sunday morning, I didn't feel tired but wound up crashing and sleeping until 8pm. No problem. Rest is good. Got a little hungry though.

BIG PROBLEM!!! Everything here in Stowe closes early. Freaking EARLY!!! It's the off season and things were closed. Finally found a chinese restaurant that was still open. Yeah...I flew hundreds of miles to eat CHINESE FOOD!!!!

Update on things. Joe Buissink suffered a medical condition about 6 weeks ago. He at the last minute was ordered by his doctors to not come out to Vermont. In his stead will be Cliff Mautner, an awesome photographer, he is the one I went to go see in California in February. So this will become a refresher course. Also Bambi Cantrell will be flying in to conclude the workshop. She is an awesome photographer based out in California.
