Leaving For Vermont

OK!!!

I may be away from my email, so if anyone wants to contact me, please call me. I will be available most nights after 5:30pm.

After taking a nap this afternoon, I finally packed. I actually pre-sorted my clothes this morning, I just didn't pack it in the suitcase.

But as you can see from the pictures, I have what I will need while I am gone this week.

I have my portable DVD players, movies, iPod!!!!!!, memory cards, and a book.

Of course, I also have my cameras. I have a rolling case, which is sooooo much more comfortable to use while traveling and just transporting my cameras. It is saving my back tremendously.

I am taking a red eye flight out of Seattle, into New York then onto Vermont. I am excited as I have not taken a redy eye since I was 5 years old. It will basically be a new experience for me. I'm ready with all of my stuff in case I can't sleep!!!

I'm going to head to Best Buy and maybe pick up some last minute items and then I'm gone. Later people!!!!

Going to Vermont Tomorrow

I am going to Vermont tomorrow to study wedding photography with Joe Buissink. He is a celebrity wedding photographer out of Beverly Hills, CA. He is an awesome guy and extraordinary photographer. I got a chance to hang out with him for a short while during my San Francisco trip a while back.

I have yet to pack my luggage. I'm pretty sure I won't pack tonight. I just don't feel like it.

Bummed Out

Today a group of local wedding photographers will be meeting in Seattle to talk about all of you beautiful brides!!!!

I am completely, partially joking!!!

Every couple of months a group of photographers meet at a restaurant or other photographer's homes to talk shop and just to hang out.

I unfortunately won't be able to make it tonight. I know... Sad development.

Oh Well... Some of the people I won't be seeing are pictured above.

***My Las Vegas Trip

***Long Post***
Here is a recap of my Vegas trip.

I was in Las Vegas from April 9th until April 17th. I went to Vegas to further enhance my photographic and business abilities. **Yup** That's it.

Acually, half of the time was spent attending an annual wedding photography convention. There, I learned amazing photographic techniques, styles, inspiration and different ways of running my business. I was able to check out some new album companies so that I can provide my clients with only the best products the wedding industry has to offer.

Bonus was that I was able to spend more time with my new friends that I made when I was in San Francisco in February. Unfortunately, I was only able to chat for a few minutes with Cliff, he was busy with his obligations for the convention and Nikon USA across the street at Bally's/Paris. I did give him some chocolate for a pick me up. See my San Francisco post.

<~~~Jeff and I

I was supposed to hang out with some newbies (new members of the photography organization that I belong to) and my good friend Jeff but I wound up having dinner with some old friends, Kelly, Ray and made some new ones, Mae and Kristian.

The keynote speaker for my convention was Jerry Ghionis from Australia. I listened to this guy speak for 3 hours!!! Truly AMAZING and INSPIRING!!! I hope to furthur implement what I learned from him to create some truly AWESOME imagery.

The Ozzies pretty much stole the show. Marcus Bell is another photographer from Australia that inspires me to create more heartfelt images. He headed another seminar that was just truly amazing.

More inspiring and amazing people I was able to learn from was Doug and Chenin. They are an amazing couple that do AWESOME work.

EXPECT MORE GREAT PHOTOGRAPHY FROM ME THANKS TO ALL THE ABOVE PEOPLE LISTED
My last 4 days there I was able to see Hairspray at the Luxor, Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo, The Shark tanks at Mandalay Bay, Tournaments of Kings at the Excalibur, where I wound up staying for my second half of my trip.
I was also able to see my cousin, her husband and their adorably cute kids.

Some select non incriminating images from Vegas *** Click Here***
I ALMOST FORGOT!!!
The biggest thing I was looking foward to!!!

Holy ****

Wow!!!

I just made the jump today and about 45 minutes ago bought a house!!!!

I'm excited!!! It's in a brand new construction neighborhood, so it won't be done until maybe November of this year. Scary move, but exhilarating.

Here is an artist rendering.

I will be taking photos of the home as it's being built, so you'll see the progress as I do. Right now the plot is just a pile of dirt.

Here's to taking the plunge!!!!

My San Francisco Trip Revisited

My San Francisco trip occured from February 26th until March 4th.

<~~~Britney taking flight

Well i just want to say my trip to San Francisco was a blast. I made new friends,
Britney Alves, Biancha Palmer, Christina McCarron, Ray Prevost, and last but not least, Cliff Mautner.

My whole reason for going to San Francisco was to attend California Photographic Workshop, a week long wedding photography workshop with the great Cliff Mautner. He was an amazing instructor and helped me see things in a different light.

Sunday night was just the general meet and greet. It was awesome. I had dinner with all of the people listed above along with celebrity wedding photographer,
Joe Buissink . I will be studying with him in May, but more on that later. We had awesome Italian. On the way out, a homeless person asked for my leftovers and I gladly handed it to her. She begun eating right then and there. I just felt bad that I couldn't do more.

Here are some photos that I created while there. Enjoy!!!
